Install WordPress on a Website
Register365 Hosting
STEP 1 – UPGRADE HOSTING TO LINUX / APACHE
(1) Go to Register365 Control Panel
(2) Click on Domain Names
(3) Click on gerardkilkenny.ie
STEP 2 – INSTALL WordPress VIA 1-CLICK INSTALLS
(1) Go to Register365 Control Panel
(2) Click on Domain Names
(3) Click on gerardkilkenny.ie
(4) Click on Scripts & 1-Click Installs
(5) Click on Softaculous Application Installer (100+ 1-Click Installs)
(6) Click on Install in the WordPress ‘tile’
(7) In the Software Setup panel, choose the following items / enter the following text
– Choose Domain (Leave as the default ‘gerardkilkenny.ie’)
– In Directory (Change ‘wp’ to ‘wordpress’)
– Database Name (Change ‘gerardk’ to ‘word11g’)
(8) In the Database Settings panel, choose the following items / enter the following text
– Table Prefix (Leave as the default ‘wp_’)
(9) In the Site Settings panel, choose the following items / enter the following text
– Site Name (Leave as the default ‘My Blog’)
– Site Description (Leave as the default ‘My WordPress Blog’)
– Enable Multisite (WPMU) (Leave unchecked)
(10) In the Admin Account panel, choose the following items / enter the following text
– Admin Username (Leave as the default ‘admin’)
– Admin Password (Change to ‘Password of Choice’)
– Admin Email (Change ‘admin@gerardkilkenny.ie’ to ‘wordpress@gerardkilkenny.ie’ )
(11) In the Choose Language panel, choose the following items / enter the following text
– Select Language (Leave as the default ‘English’)
(12) In the Select Plugins panel, choose the following items / enter the following text
– Limit Login Attempts (Leave unchecked)
(13) In the Advanced Options panel, choose the following items / enter the following text
– Disable Update Notifications (Leave unchecked)
– Auto Upgrade (Leave unchecked)
(14) Click Install
WordPress 4.3.1 running Twenty Fifteen theme is installed.
STEP 3 – UPGRADE WordPress, Plug-Ins AND Themes
(1) Log in to Admin via http://gerardkilkenny.ie/wp-admin
(2) Click on Updates in the panel on the left.
(3) Click the Update Now button to update WordPress from 4.3.1 to 4.5.3
(4) Under Plugins, check the Select All checkbox to select the plugin Akismet
(5) Click the Update Plugins button to update Akismet plugin from 3.1.3 to 3.1.11
(6) Under Themes, check the Select All checkbox to select the themes Twenty Fifteen, Twenty Fourteen, Twenty Thirteen
(7) Click the Update Themes button to update the following themes:
Twenty Fifteen – from version 1.3 to 1.5.
Twenty Fourteen – from version 1.5 to 1.7.
Twenty Thirteen – from version 1.6 to to 1.9.
(8) Click on the link ‘Return to WordPress Updates page’
(9) Hover over ‘Howdy, admin’ in the top right corner of the screen.
(10) Click on Log Out in the short menu that appears.
NOTE:
There are 4 files / directories in the root folder

Before the installation of WordPress, there were 2 directories / files in the Web folder
